Accidentally double exposed a film. Some of the results were pretty interesting though.

These haven't been edited, just shot outside with a studio light. Wanted to thank Hugh for freezing his arse off to make these possible which ended up as finals at uni. Flickr link below.
Ferrier Estate, Kidbrooke.
I've been thinking about putting this post up for way too long, I really couldn't decide what photos to chose to put up. But I've come to the decision to just put a few up and link you to the Flickr set. I should do that more I suppose. Basically, a group of us headed to this estate in Kidbrooke, South London a few Sundays ago as Myles told us it was worth checking out...and trust me, it was.
So in the late 60's the council thought it'd be a great idea to build a giant concrete estate to house thousands of people. It was done quickly, cheaply and it was one of the first of its kind. It had its own school, pub, doctors surgery and church. The concrete that made the walls, benches, paths and even garden walls were all made on site. Over the years the estate deteriorated into an outcasted place to society. Crime, unemployment and general unpleasantness of the place slowly snowballed out of control until it got deemed widely as 'a bit on the rough side'. Basically your shoes would get nicked if you walked to slow.
So 40 years later they decide its time for this giant shit hole to go and it wasn't such a good idea after all. They have a £1,000,000,000 go ahead to flatten it and transform the place, into another 'state of the art' estate...
So for the last 10 years or so they have slowly been moving thousands of people off the Kidbrooke estate. It's currently in its final stages but some people still remain and jesus christ, shits got weird. It's like a giant futuristic ghost town. When you walk through the parks, buildings and pathways you feel your like that guy at the beginning of 28 days later, there should be people everywhere, but theres just not. So freaky. But never the less, fucking interesting and a gold mine for photographers. So like I said, a group of us headed down there to check shit out...
I couldn't decide which ones to put up on here so I just chose some of my favorites of recent and linked the Flickr below these.

James William Brooks
He will do anything for Drum and bacon. Doesn't know that any time before 11am exists. One of the most generous guys I know. Just released an awesome website, he's still getting the cogs turning but you'll have to keep checking this space for the shit he's got planned...
Jack Stones
What do you do when you've been up all night to return to a house of people who have slept talking about the night before only to look out the window to pure sunshine?
Go sleep in the garden, obviously.
This man, who is Jack Stones has just started a very interesting blog with two of my other friends. I can't really explain you'll just have to read it...Bleeding Our Souls
Garden = Studio
With the help of my house mate Tim's equipment I turned our back garden into a studio last night. Photos to follow...
Matthew Stone
Matthew Stone, Still passion
A friend recommended Matthew Stone to me for my research on one of my current projects a few days back and I've been pretty much glued to his work since. I started looking at Edward Weston's use of chiaroscuro then how Stone uses light to create tension and to show the endless possibilities of the body.
He's just directed These New Puritans new video.
You Shall Not Pass
If you read my previous post about the army of ladybirds slowly assembling in my room your'll have some fucking
clue about the next few lines and photos. Basically my struggle is slowly increasing and hope is fading fast against these supposed 'cute' flying beasts.

I returned home to Kent for less than a week and they obviously recognised this and used this time strategically
and decided to double their numbers and cover more ground while they could. I returned to an army of red dots all over my room. On towels, on deodorant cans, jeans, speakers and in shoes.

I know I'm meant to be running a photography blog here and not posting stupid photos of bugs in my room that no one
really probably gives a shit about but its just making me curious.

They must be planning something.

Family
Something I don't do enough is take photos of my family. Since I've moved to London I hardly see them as much as I should. I need to sort both of these things out. These are my two sisters, Lilly and Grace.
